  • Analyst

    The role

    We are looking for a bright and ambitious person to join our Solutions team in central London to work with our unique AI product, Cipher. Our customers include world-leading technology companies across Europe and US.

    We are seeking candidates who are passionate about the latest developments in technology and want to analyse the latest trends. Business and Science backgrounds are preferred but are happy to hear from applicants with all backgrounds.

    You will have the opportunity for professional growth through exposure to clients and a variety of tasks that help you build on your communication and analytical skills. You will also be involved in product development and client interactions.

    You will be working day to day with Cipher, our machine learning and AI platform. A key part of the role will be to help design and build Cipher taxonomies – the most advanced way to analyse patented technology.

     

    Your key responsibilities

    • Project delivery: Analysing problems and delivering insights to our customers using Cipher’s AI analytics platform
    • Company research: Researching organisations, understanding their corporate structure and how this relates to the global patent system
    • Product development: implementing Cipher for specific technologies and sectors, working with our commercial team to build our relationship with new and existing customers

     

    Our ideal candidate will have

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably within Business or Science but we’re open to hear from motivated and ambitious applications from all fields
    • An interest in new developments and technology trends.
    • Communication skills, able to interact with our prospective and existing customers
    • Collaborative and creative approach, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
    • Competence in PPT, excel, preferred (but not coding)

    The role

    We are looking for a bright, curious and technically minded person to join our Solutions team in central London to work with our unique AI product, Cipher, and our customers which include world-leading technology companies across Europe and US.

     

    The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or with 1-3 years of industry experience. Your degree and technical interest should primarily be within the areas of electronics, computer hardware, semiconductors or similar. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about latest developments in their industry and technology, and that are able to analyse technology trends.

     

    In addition to broadening your skills across many technologies and staying on top of technology trends you will also be involved in our product development and client interactions. You will also be working day to day with our machine learning and AI tool and a key part of the role will be to build and train classifiers – the most advanced way to analyse patented technology, without the need of any coding skills.

     

    Your key responsibilities

    • Technical expertise: researching and understanding technical areas including electronics, computer hardware, semiconductors, Internet of Things, wireless technology and connectivity. Build, train and refine AI Classifiers for existing and prospective clients as well as supporting internal teams
    • Product development: working with our commercial leads to maintain, test and further enhance our efforts to obtain new clients and service existing ones.
    • Project delivery: Analysing problems and delivering insights to our customers using Cipher’s AI Classifiers

     

    Responsibilities Our ideal candidate will have

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent within Electrical, Electronics or Wireless Engineering or similar
    • Experience within computer hardware and/or Electronics industry is beneficial
    • A technical understanding and interest in new developments, technologies and trends within your discipline
    • Strong technical and communication skills, being able to interact with engineers and non-engineers
    • An understanding of intellectual property and patents is beneficial
    • Highly organised, with the ability to drive multiple projects with competing deadlines
    • Able to remain calm under pressure and think with a collaborative and creative approach

    Salary: Competitive and uncapped

     

    We are looking for an energetic and proactive Business Development Executive to join our Sales team in London. This is a key position within the team and an excellent opportunity for someone motivated to learn and develop within a high-growth AI / SaaS business.     Responsibilities

    • Work to a brief to acquire organisational and contact information, and cleanse existing data in CRM. This involves the use of websites and direct telephone outreach.
    • Learn and articulate the Cipher’s value proposition. Ask targeted, intelligent questions to speak knowledgeably with VP-level executives and decision makers.
    • Instigate new business conversations, develop prospects to attend meetings with a BD Manager.
    • Effectively respond to all enquiries in a professional manner.
    • Use CRM to record all activity and client interactions.
    • Attend events/training sessions to improve your network and develop your understanding of Intellectual Property and SaaS.
    • Research companies and identify opportunities, follow up marketing campaigns by phone and email.

     

    Skills and Experience

    · Timely allocation of inbound leads to the Sales team.

    Qualifications

  • Business Development Manager

    We are looking for an established, energetic and highly driven new business hunter to join our sales team located in London. A self-starter with aconsultative approach to selling B2B technology or information services to senior decision makers, you will be able to position the unique benefits of Cipher to prospective clients in the context of their specific business challenges and strategic goals.

    Main duties of the role:

    • Sell Cipher, the world’s leading strategic patent intelligence to UK, European and US based companies
    • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close.
    • Be knowledgeable of market and industry trends, emerging technologies, competitors, and identify opportunities for client growth strategies.
    • Deliver consistently high levels of targeted activity to ensure a strong new business pipeline.
    • Manage individual pipeline and forecast with high accuracy.
    • Collaborate with our BD team to continue the development of best practice.
    • Ensure a smooth transition of new clients to the Customer Experience team.
    • Ability to travel as required, primarily within UK and Europe.

    Our ideal candidate will have:

    • 3+ years proven track record of consistently exceeding personal new business quotas within a BI or software environment.
    • Strong solutions sales abilities. Challenger sales experience would be highly advantageous.
    • A STEM academic background and/or experience of selling solutions into IP and R&D professionals would be highly advantageous.
    • Experience of building effective working relationships both internally and externally, quickly establishing trust and credibility.
    • Ability to operate independently and flexibly, think strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills.
